On May 11, the company's Party committee organized party members and prospective party members to visit the Zhijiang Anti-Japanese War Victory Surrender Site in Huaihua to participate in a "themed party day" activity and receive education on revolutionary history and patriotism.
The Zhijiang Surrender Memorial Arch is where the Chinese people accepted the surrender of the invading Japanese army. It is China's only building commemorating the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. It records the significant hardships experienced by the Chinese people, and even more so, the glorious achievements of the Chinese people's resistance. On August 15, 1945, Japan announced its unconditional surrender, and from August 21 to 23, the Nationalist government held a surrender ceremony here.
Party members and prospective party members visited the China War Zone Surrender Ceremony site, the Flying Tigers Memorial Hall, and the Chinese People's Anti-Japanese War Victory Surrender Memorial Hall. They carefully viewed precious historical photos and heavy historical relics and listened attentively to the explanations of the guides. All party members were deeply moved by the firm revolutionary will and fearless revolutionary spirit of their revolutionary predecessors, and they expressed their deep respect for the great contributions made by the revolutionary predecessors to the Party's cause. The "four-pillar, three-arch" design of the Surrender Memorial Arch looks like the Chinese character for "blood" in the phrase "blood and sacrifice," implying that the complete victory of the Chinese people in the Anti-Japanese War was won with the lives and blood of 35 million compatriots. It serves as a warning monument, reminding future generations: Never forget the past, learn from history.
Celebrating an unprecedented victory in five thousand years
Commemorating lasting peace for all generations to come
At the exit of the memorial hall, the eighteen large characters "Celebrating an unprecedented victory in five thousand years, commemorating lasting peace for all generations to come" are prominently displayed. In August, Zhijiang will hold the "Three Events in One" event: the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japan and the World Anti-Fascist War, the International Peace Culture Festival, and the City Tourism Development Conference, playing the "peace card," highlighting the "international style," and showcasing the "national style".
Through the visit, all party members gained a deeper understanding of the history of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japan. This direct revolutionary tradition education was a baptism for the thoughts and minds of the party members and prospective party members. Everyone expressed that in their future work, they would cherish the happy life won by the revolutionary martyrs with their lives and blood, actively play the exemplary role of party members, keep their original aspirations and mission in mind, do their jobs well, and strive to be excellent employees.
The Party committee leader stated that the purpose of organizing such activities is to allow everyone to understand history, strengthen their will, and encourage them to maintain an unyielding and courageous spirit when facing difficulties and challenges, to work together in a pragmatic manner, to strive for excellence, and to achieve the long-term development of the enterprise through the joint efforts of every employee.
